Value Misplacement

With every passing day in life the disparity between people increases. We say some are rich, some are highly placed, some are always succeeding and all the positive things you can think about in life. Yet we have a higher number of people making up the population of the other extreme of poverty, failure, neglects and regrets. What's responsible for these disparities?
Brian Tracy a top management consultant wrote in his book Goals that "the major difference between the successful and unsuccessful is that the successful people are always working on tasks of high value while the unsuccessful people are always killing time on tasks of low value".
Apostle Paul also wrote that "all things are good but not all things are expedient". A large percentage of the world's population has become guilty of what I will refer to as a situation of being "busy doing nothing" hence the continuous increasing disparity in the standard of living and life in general. Your ability to distinguish between important and unimportant activities in life will definitely be a plus to you if you actually learnt it well.
You can't keep doing the same old thing and expect the result to be different. I will just remind you of what you may have already known, maybe it will help you change your priorities in life. Time is the most limited resources available to man but it takes an intelligent person to accept that fact. Thus you must learn to reorganize all your activities on a scale of ;
Necessary and Urgent

Not necessary but urgent
Not necessary not urgent
Necessary and urgent activities are those activities that a failure to carry them out at the particular point will cost both your present and future greatly. Most often their consequences are great and hard to bear. For example as a student you were given an assignment to work on and submit the next day, yet you have a friend you haven't visited in a while that you would like to do some catching up with. One of this two activities is Necessary and urgent whereas the other is necessary yet not urgent
Necessary but not urgent activities are activities with some measure of importance but with little and correctable consequences attached to a failure to do them like the situation of visiting a friend I earlier mentioned.
Not necessary but Urgent activities are activities with no consequences attached to a failure to do them yet are very pressing and attention demanding. Activities such as picking a call while in the office and even responding to a chat while in a meeting but to mention a few.
Not necessary Not urgent activities are activities that have no consequences whatsoever attached to the failure to do them neither is it in any way pressing. For example fighting, telling a lie sleeping on duty, watching a movie when you have an exam but to mention a few.
The fact is that all activities become necessary or unnecessary depending on the time of occurrence. What I intend to achieve from this write up is to help you see the need to invest your time, resources and energy on ventures that are profiting and productive. I often say to myself that life has no part two but one thing I know is that life is full of seasons.
Needful: Focus your resources on activities, ventures and investments that are necessary and urgent, following it up with those that are necessary but not urgent and try as much as possible to avoid the activities that are not necessary irrespective of their urgencies.

Spiritual Dieting by Akubo O. Julius

Every human being is primarily a spirit that possesses a soul and lives in a body thus a man must learn to develop himself with the consideration of these three spheres. Over the years a lot of importance has being placed on the development of the human body in the form of eating good foods and maintaining the maximum level of satisfaction at the expense of the development of the mind and the spirit. For clarity, the mind's development is a function of which ever you feed most; the spirit or the body.
Now you may be questioning the possibility of feeding the spirit which is what we shall be analyzing briefly. The moment you give your life to Christ your spirit is regenerated and you are as fresh as a new born babe that needs to be fed and nurtured to maturity.
What is food? There are two types of food that we shall be considering in this piece
Physical food. This is any substance we eat to aid the growth, development  and maintenance of our body  and
Spiritual food. This unlike physical food is any spiritual activity carried out to boost and develop the spirit man. 
For clarity and specifics again, we are considering the dieting of the “spiritual food”. The physical food is classified in to six classes being; carbohydrates, protein, fats and oil, vitamins, salts and minerals and water of which some possesses some detrimental effects when over used. We shall be attempting to draw out a sample similarity between the classes of physical and spiritual food below;
Fasting. This is very important but useless without praying and study of the word. It’s more like the fat and oil in the physical food. It deactivates the holds of the flesh on the soul and puts the spirit in control of the soul vis-à-vis the mind hence creating a platform for accessing revelations.
Praying. It’s a necessary activity that every believer that desires spiritual power must engage in. it’s the act of communicating with God in words. A “prayer-less” believer as we usually say is a powerless Christian. It’s like the carbohydrate that energizes a man for exploits. All this notwithstanding the praying activity yields effective spiritual growth better when anchored on the word of God.
Word study. This is the most important although the others are very very important. It’s important because every other spiritual activity finds their root in this. It’s a deliberate choice of studying the revealed word (logos/letters) with the main purpose of accessing the unrevealed rhema or spirit behind the logos.  This is like the spiritual protein of the believer. Unlike the excess of protein that could result in liver issues the excess of this if there is puts you in authority.
Speaking in Unknown Tongues. This is another very important spiritual activity that edifies the spirit. It’s very crucial and it’s expressed as communicating with God in unknown tongues. It’s similar to the water in the physical food classification.
Associations. This is another spiritual activity that is carried out in the physical. It entails selection of relationships with the consciousness of the fact that iron sharpeneth iron. This can be likened to the minerals and salts in the physical food
Singing praises and worships. This is a practical spiritual activity that brings you into the presence of God. And access to the presence of God entails automatic growth and increase in grace. It’s like the vitamins in the physical food
Dieting advice
These activities should all be well carried out simultaneously for effective spiritual growth with equal value placed on them at any point in time. In physical food priorities are set considering the fact that some of the classes of food could be detrimental. The good news in spiritual dieting is that, if you practice all the activities above well you will discover that there is almost no excess of any of them.

THE PLACE OF A CHRISTIAN LADY IN CONTINUITY

"Bid the older women similarly to be reverent and devout in their deportment as becomes those engaged in sacred service, not slanderers or slaves to drink. They are to give good counsel and be teachers of what is right and noble,So that they will wisely train the young women to be sane and sober of mind (temperate, disciplined) and to love their husbands and their children," Titus 2:3-4 AMP
Look this part of the mandate is the most essential of them all. Look what the Bible calls it, "sacred service". The absence of continuity is one of the reasons for the  rapid degradation existing in spiritual virtues and values. There was a time where to loose your virginity before marriage was a pain in the heart but now we have parents that are contributing to this abnormally. I remember then divorce was very rare because it was truly for better for worse. A lady wouldn't divorce for any reason it was built on patience and endurance and at that time people don't even take time to court like we have now yet divorce is becoming the other of the day. I remember that there was a time where to steal was an abomination but now we steal directly or indirectly because of lack of continuity in moral values. We have parents who did not cheat to pass exams yet are consciously paying for their wards to pass via cheating what do you expect to see in the next generation. Simple ethics of morales and discipline are gradually facing out as a result of development and modernisation. Its amazing that we have mothers who everybody longs to eat their food yet this same mothers have daughters that nobody wants to test their food all because they beleive housemaids should cook while their princesses and queens stay away from the kitchen. The end results are not far fetched. These and so many other abnormalies are gradually creeping in yet we are so quiet and non challant about it. God needs women that will not only be successful in their time but will raise a generation that can replace them and be even better than them as children.
This is a timely reminder to awaken women and ladies to their duties in the heavenly agenda. That you are woman does not in anyway make you less important in Gods end time agenda, don't disappoint God !

THE PLACE OF A LADY IN POLITICS

This particular calling is not for everybody, there are people who God has engraced to be women that will stand in the political world for him like Esther and Deborah. Again I say its not for everybody. We are ambassadors of a kingdom that functions by instructions thus if you have not being sent don't go.
So many ladies have failed in politics yet there remainent a seven hundred that are still for God. Politics is not an evil ground as the world has turned it to be which is why God needs people that will serve as lights of correction in that sphere. A lot of women have grown with the idea that's partly sponsored by gender marginalization and it is the idea that politics is purely the men's thing. Yea you may be right in your own way, but even while there was a Barak there was still a justice Deborah without whom Barak will not go to war,there was an Esther in the political strata of the Persian Empire to stand in the gap for the Jew. Look for every assignment there is a grace so quit the fear and connect to the grace. You know why a woman may fail in politics? Judges 4 :4 describes Deborah thus "Now Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lappidoth, judged Israel at that time." three things to note, first she was a prophet symbolising her submission and connection to God. Secondly she was a wife to lappidoth symbolising another stage and level of submission to a husband. And then she was finally a judge.
Call it whatever you want, if you ever venture in to politics without the backing of God I personally fear for your woeful failure. There will never be a message without a sender so stop hustling to become a messenger without a sender. Also note that a woman whose political ministry succeeds in stealing her submission to her husband and place in the home is carefully matching to a place of a mysterious fall in ministry. We didn't put the politics and ministry together not because politics is not a ministry but that it requires a special call just as that of a pastor. If you have the calling stop playing dumb cause you will surely account for it. God needs you even in politics so go and show them the sample of what politics should be in representation and leadership according to God's mandate.

Consistency is not just doing the right thing but doing it continuously.
lt is good to understand that consistency conquers resistance which eventually results to a divine visitation. When the battle is higher than you;seek for a higher unction and grace, because whatever makes you bow in life will prevent  your lifting;whatever makes you bow will prevent your full release of potential,whatever  makes you bow will affect and limit your movement,whatever makes you bow  takes over your life,whatever makes you bow limits your speed and progress in life,whatever makes you bow tampers with your  beauty and dignity and when you loose your originality,you loose your destiny. So be persistent and consistent in serving God for consistency will always wear out delay.God bless you.It is finished ....

THE PLACE OF A LADY IN MINISTRY

      
"Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your father in heaven." Matt 5:16.
I know the first ideas that will come to your mind on hearing ministry are either becoming a pastor, an evangelist, a missionary preacher and the likes. Look preaching is not some people's mandate its the duty of every believer matt 28:19 "go ye" but that is not what we are referring to as ministry here. For easy understanding ministry here refers to your place of service and that largely consist of your career. God needs women who are largely representing at their duty post of nursing, teaching, trading,civil service in general and whatever it is that your hand has found to do. Christians are growing everyday to posses a form of Godliness yet denying the power thereof. Professing godliness with their mouth yet not evident in their works.(Titus 2). Ladies and women that are ready to stand for God in this generation must deliberately decide in their minds that even if anybody is boycotting work, rebelling against rules and doing whatever they want you will be different knowing that you are an ambassador of heaven. God needs women who will see their career as their ministry and place of influence. Where their lights will so shine in good works hence resulting in God being glorified. We have very few Christians not compromising out there but that does not mean that there are no people out there raising the banner of Christ via their good works. Perhaps some people are yet to become Christians because they are yet to see a difference between their lives and your life. Its time you jack up and join the 7000 as in the days of Elijah. God needs career women and ladies that will see their career as a place of ministry. Perhaps you never new, ministry is the duty of a minister and we are all ministers of reconciliation.

TRIBUTE TO HONOURABLE JAMES ENEJO OCHOLI (SAN) BY AKUBO O.JULIUS

Indeed the space between birth and death is time but the significance of the time is in its pragmatic usage. Late Hon James Ocholi was born on the 26th of November 1960 to Mr and Mrs James Momoh Odoh of Dekina Local Government Area of Kogi state, He graduated from ochaja secondary school where he gave his life to Christ (Bornagain). Born to an extended family and having lost his father at the age of eighteen, He obtained his LLB from the University of Jos via a scholarship from the then Benue State Government. He graduated in 1985 and was called to bar in 1986. After years of productive practice he became a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) in December 2007 and as at of the time of his death (2016) he was the Nigeria's minister of labour and Employment. He was happily married to Mrs Blessing Fatima Ocholi who died in the same accident that claimed the life of the legal luminary alongside their son . He was blessed with five children;Ojone Peace, Aaron Enojo jr, Joshua Eb‘ojo, Uyo Blessing jr and Ele Excellent.
He was the pioneer president of the Full Gospel Business men's  Fellowship International Ankpa branch. He also once served as the National Secretary of The Full Gospel Business men’s Fellowship International in Nigeria. Late Ocholi was a Notary Public of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the Pro-chancellor and chairman of Council of the Salem University, Lokoja amongst others
Many have lamented,many have being wailing but are they Christians who will like Barr Ocholi choose to be outstanding for Christ in their area of jurisdictions till death. We may not be able to rank his performance but to some extent he was outstanding. His death is not only a loss to the igala people, to kogi state, to Nigeria and to the world but also a loss to the Christiandom. Its our prayers that men and women will rise to the call of standing for God like Hon. James Ocholi and even better than he did in politics. Barrister James Ocholi was indeed an icon and a Christian. Really hoping to see him at the masters feet some day. Adieu legend.

The PLACE OF A LADY IN THE HOME

I guess you may be wondering what could be the difference between the home and marriage having considered marriage last week. The home relationship consist of you, your husband and children better said to as family  but for simplicity we shall be restricted to calling it the home. Proverbs 14:1Says,
"Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands."

This verse makes it clear that the responsibility of building the home largely rests on a woman. If your home is not growing......

Probably you have met some people whose behaviours got you wondering why on earth a person could behave the way they did right? Yet you have also met some people who you wish to see again and again why?
So many reasons may be responsible, but a set out of the so many reasons attached to these complexities in personality are either your temperamental type issues or the second party's temperamental type's issue. Cumulatively we will say the set its actually a singular reason; temperament. Therefore your ability to recognise your temperament will help you understand the peculiarities attached to your personality.
What is Temperament?
The free dictionary defines temperament in a very conscised way, "The manner of thinking, behaving, or reacting characteristic of a specific person". These characteristics differs with different individuals but generally they are collectively divided into two broad groups (Extroverts and Introverts) which is further divided into four groups or types.
Types of Temperaments
As stated earlier they are two broad categories of temperaments which is divided into four basic types:
Extroverts
They are the easy going types and are energized by being around other people. Thus they can easily get bored when alone its believed that in this group we have:
1.The Sanguines.The basic distinguishing feature of this type of temperament is that they are optimistic and social.Sanguines are receptive and open to others and build relationships quickly. They smile and talk easily with less stress.Sanguine are so people-oriented thus never lack friends. Their attention span is based on whether or not they are interested in the person or event. They can easily switch their focus or interest in an instant. Rather negatively the Sanguines are competitive and tend to be disorganized. They usually have difficulty controlling their emotions. They like sports of any kind because of the activity and involvement with other people. The Sanguines fears rejection and also fear others viewing them as unsuccessful.

2.The Choleric. The choleric group are naturally short-tempered or  easily irritable. They are self-confident, self-sufficient and very independent minded.They are decisive and opinionated thus find it very easy to make decisions for themselves as well as others. Cholerics hardly negotiates. They are visionaries thus seem to posses endless reservoir of ideas, plans and goals. Cholerics require very little sleep when compared with other temperaments thus can be regarded as workaholics. They are generally slow at building relationship with people because of their self-sufficient nature.

Introverts
The people here are the practical  opposites of the extroverts, they are better or energized by being alone. The introverts are very careful with speaking hence they think before they speak.They include:
3.The Melancholic. The people with this type of temperament are quiet and very analytical  lets-do-it-right persons. They are reserved and suspicious until sure of your intentions. They often believe that there is a hidden meaning behind the words you speak to them.They are timid and may appear unsure and have a serious expression. They are self-sacrificing and sensitive to what others think about their work.Melancholics needs reassurance, feedback and reasons why they should do something. They often need information, time to think and a plan before taking any action. The Melancholics are often risk avoiders because of their fear of making a wrong
decision and being viewed as incompetent. They are resistant to new things until they have had time to think it over.They are very organized, creative and capable people but are also skeptical sets of persons. Melancholics tend to get bored with something once they get it figured out.
4.The Phlegmatic. This type of temperament is Synonymous with a relaxed and peaceful personality. They are unemotional, easygoing, and never-get-upset, persons. They are often slow and indirect when responding to people.  They live a quiet, routine life, free of the normal anxieties and stresses of the other temperaments. The Phlegmatic prefers to avoid getting too involved with people and life in general. They rarely try to go out of the status quo to achieve anything, they just let it happen. They'd rather have just a few close friends that they will be very loyal to through thick and thin than to have lots of friends. The Phlegmatics are quite resistant to change of any kind without reason.Phlegmatics show little emotion and as much as possible avoid conflict and making decisions of any kind. They are practical thinkers with hidden feelings. Phlegmatics are persistent and
consistent at whatever they undertake.They are by far the easiest persons to get along with.
Having known this classification its important to figure out your particular temperament or "temperament conbinations". This will enable you to best maximise or manage your temperament(s) in practical issues like your career and relationships.
For instance its not always easy for two extroverts to blend together perfectly because they will be having a situation of "everyone talking with nobody to listening". Also two introverts especially melancholics in a relationship may in no short time get tired of their relationship as a result of boredom. This instances are not binding as people could grow to surpress their particular temperaments. Nevertheless it does not entail that they loose that particular temperaments as its part of their compositions as a human being.
In the case of work and occupation its observed that introverts do better in jobs that has less to do with associating with people like research while the extroverts are directly opposite. But just as it is with relationships its possible to have an introvert doing so well in comedy and an extrovert doing well in research its just an issue of determination, discipline and more especially the help of God.

What is love? 
Before I got a bit of an understanding about love, I just thought love was only a boy girl thing. I thought it only existed between a husband and his wife. Sometimes when my siblings annoyed me at home, I would get so angry and would think that I hated them most in the world. Other times when they would act so nice to me, I felt as though they were the only persons I loved on earth.
  When u examine this scenario you would just understand that this kind of love i thought I had was conditional as it was built on some conditions. Something for something kind of of love. I wasn't really being different from a normal human being. You know its normal for humans to only profess love to someone they know they can benefit from either materially or otherwise.
   As I kept growing I got to discover an unconditional love from a guy, ok no no no , a man cause he is an uncommon man. I have enjoyed his love and I am still enjoying it.Just listen to our love story.
    This man had been disturbing me for a very long time, I mean like forever. I knew him while growing up as someone my parents and siblings adored. I just felt they talked about him a lot and it even annoyed me sometimes. Funny enough, this guy followed me everywhere, I mean it became very irritating.
  Growing up as younger girl devoid of any consequences for my actions, I went about many exploits. This boy would warn me of soo many bad decision, but I felt I needed to experience things on my own( you know I needed some space to breath). Sometimes I listened to his advice, others I ignored and faced the consequences.
  This boy grew into a man and started asking me out. He said he loved me and he would do anything for me if only I gave my heart to him. Believe me, I tried warding him off both with my words and actions. But he never left me. He even told me that my body soul and spirit belonged to him. He felt bad most of the time when I defiled this body cause he was always monitoring me, it was that serious. He never stopped disturbing me even for a day. He was like a thorn in my flesh. I really tried ignoring him but he is always in my face, in my head and in my heart. I later discovered that they was no escape from him.
    Finally i discovered that I was also in love with him, yeaa. I felt it everywhere I went, in my body my heart and soul. I knew I had fallen hard
   Our relationship has been wonderful ever since I finally gave him a yes. I had told him I would give him my all, but I didn't do that. I was selfish, unfaithful, I couldn't just let it all go to one person. I knew he loved me more than I did him. Maybe that's why I take advantage of that love most of the time. We fight most of the time because of my selfish attitude, I have really tried to change, but its so hard. Anyway the good news is that he has promised to help me love him, although he keeps saying that I would have to love him deliberately and that I should put deliberate effort to show my love for him. I am at peace with myself because I know he will forever Love me. To tell you the truth falling in love with him has thought me that love isn't just in words but in actions of sacrifice built on a deliberate desire to care ,bear and tend. Hope you are loving for the right reasons.
  I think is time I introduce him to you.... His name is JESUS.. HE ALONE IS MY ONE TRUE LOVE .
    So, if you ask me what love is, I would say love is God who came in the person of Jesus Christ. Guess what? he loves you too.Happy valentines day.

What has God prepared you to do, through bad or good and what are the things you can do to bring balance into your life.Dalton based all his principles on Christian ethics and was still able to make it in this perverse world where the truth has been greatly substituted for evil. He was able to break that chain with the application of the right christian principles what a wonderful example.
    Dalton is but one out of the many Christians succeding in the circular world amidst all odds, you too can be one of them. As a matter of fact, effective and productive christianity may not necessarily be measured by wealth but you can still be a Christian business leader and walk the talk. Remember, it is God who gives power to make wealth thus make pleasing him your priority and drive as you journey to the top and you can be sure of attaining good success.

#Change Agents

You don't get to your place of influence and heavenly significance by complaining and murmuring, the children of Isreal did that in the wilderness and it actually didn't take them to the promise land. Stop complaining, start seeing and believing that the future is better than today cause that's the truth and nothing but the truth. You are the Christian the world needs to see and glorify God. Looking at the life of so many great men both in and outside the scriptures I have come to understand that they all had something in common; turning point. Jacob for instance would have remained a cheat without the bethel experience not because he did not want to be good.

Isaiah also was a prophet who had being prophesying yet never discovered his uncleanness and unworthiness for mega exploits in the hands of God until the death of king uzziah. Saul would have remained saul if he never had the Damascus road experience and a whole lot of other turning point examples. Even in the circular world, men like Ben Carson,Thomas Edison,James L Kcraft, Charles Babbage, Martin Luther king junior, Nelson Mandela amongst others Would have remained in the hall of mediocrity if they never had a turning point.
So What is turning point? It is the point were you come to the end of your weaknesses and accept the help of God in the form of grace, giving away all activities of what you think, for what God says. Its that point were a man is made up and made fit for exploits via the instrumentality of an inner assistance clothed with determination, zeal and doggedness for exploits. Turning point simply is the point where you can say its "no longer I" it is the point of grace.
If you must fulfil destiny and shine as the light of christ then you must be brought to this run way of take off. It's amazing that Isaiah was still prophesying and showing signs yet had not encountered the turning point experience. This simply means that it goes beyond activities and just being born again to fulfil divine destiny. You must be brought to the point where you don't only know Jesus but constantly beholding him as in "2 cor3:18" exhibit the glory of God. The era is coming and has even come where to effectively make exploit you must be a student of the holy spirit.
You don't have to go through life alone with all those huddles and challenges. All you need do is ask God to bring you to your turning point, the place where with an open face you can behold Christ and be transformed into his image from glory to glory( step by step) all by the spirit of God. Its only at that point that you will start enjoying grace and fulfilment in life. Its actually great to be born again but its sweeter to be led by the spirit with grace and mercy. Get to your turning point today and you will be renamed just like Jacob(Isreal) Abram (Abraham) and Saul (Paul) for mega exploits.

For every man that ever made or will make an impact on the surface of this earth there is a turning point. Considering the fact that no man is born a hero,there exist a particular point ín life where every human being comes face to face with what i call the destiny jet (pre-motion decision) and the action and reaction you make at this point determines your success or failure in life. You may have being there or not but one thing is certain, that after the official visit of this destiny jet which everybody is entitled to it takes the grace of God for it to come back to whoever has failed to board the jet. In simple words, life is well planned for you but there comes a time where you choose to flow through the well planned life for you or deviate to a contrary life of undue hardship and failure at different instances. Which decisions have you made and which decisions are you making now. There is still a place of grace to trace you back to your right track should you have made decisions amiss in the past. Turning point exist in any situation that has to do with time,find your turning point and maximize it now for there your story changes.

A time is coming where,to live a life of impact you must be lead and directed purely by the spirit. The time is already here! Indeed the earnest expectation of the creation awaits the manifestation of the sons of God (for as many as are lead by the spirit of God they are the sons of God). From glory to glory under the leadership of the spirit.

CHARACTER By Samuel Peters

The great wall of China is a series of fortification made of stone, bricks, tamped earth, wood, and other materials generally built along East to West line across the historical Northern boarders of China to protect the Chinese states from raid and invasion. The walls were built as early as the 7^th century B C, joined together, made bigger and stronger by Qin Shi Huang, (the first Emperor of China)

The great wall had, at its day enhanced defensive characteristics such as watch towers, troop barracks and garrison stations. Within the next hundred years of completion, china was invaded three times because the guards were bribed. Babylon was like the America of today, a world power in its day, strong economically, agriculturally, and most secured kingdom in its days, but Babylon was invaded and defeated by a lesser kingdom, Persia, because Babylonian soldiers and guards were careless and lazy so they slept off. Persia did not need to kill or fight any one to conquer Babylon.

My concern is why these big states and nations were conquered with so much ease, why do strong walls fall with less effort? I have come to discover that these nations spent time and effort building structure and Empires but they failed to build the most important structure which is their people. They built strong, powerful walls and cities with people of questionable character and so the people betrayed their cities. Let me bring it home as we strive to fulfill purpose, destiny, become great, achieve our goals, we get so engrossed in it that we fail to develop our personal character and attitude.

So like china and Babylon, our ill character or attitude may betray us and bring us down. Hard work, skill and diligent works will make us great and successful but sustaining it requires sound character and attitude.

Negative character can be hidden for long but I bet you at the point of greatness, they are the foxes that will spoil your vine.

In conclusion, one may want to ask, how can I identify a negative character or how can a person fix on bad character? My solution is simple:

STEP ONE: To identify fault in your character, you can use these check list.

<li>What do I think is good about me?</li>
<li>What do people hate and complain about me?</li>
<li>What do people like and commend about me?</li>
<li>What are my strength and weakness?</li>
</ul>
Answers these check list yourself and then ask at least five random persons around you.

STEP 2: Gather and cumulate the responds then fix them in a table.

STEP 3:

After you have done these as it is stated in the bible, you abstain from the negative and engage in these positive.

Note: it is a process, not a day job i.e. we continually striving to develop and maintain a positive character.

Finally, the evil habits, character, or attitude you don’t deal with will someday ruin your great wall.

THE CHURCH AND THE WORLD

“ye are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the light. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your father which is in heaven.” Mathew 5:14-16.

Serving as light and salt as stated in the passage are some of the major functions the church should perform in the world but it is unfortunate that so many Christians, who actually are the church, exist in the contrary. They are either part of the dark activities of the world or are indirectly contributing to the bitterness and destruction of the world. The church who is to preserve, enhance and illuminate has become the chief bribery agent, top liars and famous cheats all for either fame or money, what an apology. These abnormalities have necessitated this literary piece and it’s my belief that God will reawaken us to our duty (ies) as we go through this piece in Jesus name.

Before we proceed there is need to know that the church is not just that building where you go to worship on weekdays and Sundays, you as a person is the church, thus when we say the church and the world we are simply saying you and the world. If only the Christians will truly rise to their duty post in the various institutions and organisations worldwide, perhaps the malady of today’s world would have being lesser. This ideology of waiting till you become the boss before you start living the right life or even correcting evil Activities around must be brought to a permanent halt. Christianity as God expects from the church is not actually what we are having today. The bible makes it clear that we should let our light

shine before men note the command “let” is not something you do within. It’s a life we live that is visible. I expect us to have already known that every Christian was designed to bring glory to God and one of the basic ways we can bring that to reality is by our works. The bible says that men may see your good works and bring glory to your father in heaven. So you have to work, and not just work but good works. Having known that you have to work, I would like to quickly correct an impression that basically comes to the mind of almost everybody when we talk of good works. It’s true that charity is the greatest of them but aside from charity or added to charity good works could also be well depicted with your lifestyle at your particular location of influence. So stop streamlining your mentality to only charity without living a worthy life
So where is your location of influence?
I often hear people say “i am not a pastor at such I don’t have to carry a big bible about”. And they also say something like “this is a co-operate organisation and not a church so the bible ends with the church.” If I may ask, who is the church? And even if you were “right”, who says you need to carry the book called the bible about before you preach Christ. You see the church is a living river whose course is guided by the word of God, so you must grow to seeing the word as life and not just a book you carry about.

<strong> From that your micro position that seems to be so obscured and unnoticed you can exhibit true Christianity. My heart desire is to see a world where Christians (church) are at the herms of affairs even in the supposed circular world. That desire is not because I just want them to enjoy the cacophony or this ideology that “we too” are at the top but that they may function effectively as change agents, lights of Christ and salt of correction in such positions. Colossians 3:10 emphasises the need for the church to walk worthy of the lord by being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God.

Choose to be fruitful today for you are the light and salt of this world, you are the church of God.

YOU REALLY MISS ALOT FOR NOT HAVING SEX AS A BACHELOR/ SPINSTER

12. You miss getting worried because you may get pregnant after sex,
13. You miss being "used" and dumped,
14. You miss being depressed all the time,
15. You miss throwing your virginity in the mud,
16. You miss getting serious "broken heart",
17. You miss fornication,
18. You miss the punishment of the grave,
19. You miss weakening your vains at the early stage,
20. You miss selling your dignity in just 5mins for a useless pleasure and finally,
21. You miss being thrown into Hell fire.
Have you seen that you really miss a lot by not having sex?
My fellow Brothers and Sisters in the Lord your life is worth more than five minutes enjoyment that can destroy your life in the Present and future. Preserve your body not just for your future husband or wife but for Christ sake, It is worth missing yet Rewardable!.

LIVING A LIFE OF IMPACT

Everyday we meet either old or new people. Some we
chat with,some we snob, some we hardly notice and all
that but in all, we made an impression. We often ask
God to make us relevant in our society yet we overlook
the fastest medium to relevance. The impression you
give to people everyday turns out to either make them
better or worse than ever. It may not look real to you
but you can verify; some people talk with you and
never make attempt to ever have any form of
conversation with you again while others keep coming
back after a simple conversation why? Its simply due
to relevance. To one you were relevant(impactful) while
to the other you were irrelevant. You may not
necessarily have all to offer but you must always have
something to offer either in words or in deeds. Nobody
is out to become worse of in the society at such we are
all trying to avoid relationships and whatever it is that
will add nothing positive to us. Knowing this fact, we
must choose to deliberately say words or do things
that are impactful and relevant else we will loose
relevance in our generation. We must learn :
1. Not to take things for granted.
2. Avoid nasty words and unproductive conversations.
3. Always try to see the good part in people.
4. Avoid irrelevant criticisms and encourage
constructive criticism.
If only we will do all the above and every other positive
actions necessary, then will be on our way to
becoming relevant. Remember you are a change agent.

You are best as you

Personally I have had a problem with the issue of mentoring not because mentorship is bad but because of the approach with which people react towards the topic.
Overtime we have had people growing to become personalities that have already being in existence not because they were destined to be so but because they chose to deliberately act and behave like those personalities that have already being in existence. If you have ever been opportune to see a fist of a new born baby you would discover that it is closed, why? It’s simply closed to depict the fact that every human being has got some specific attributes that are peculiar to him or her alone amongst which is their destiny. So when you choose to start acting and behaving like another person you are simply dropping those things that are peculiar to you, only to struggle in sharing the ones that are peculiar to another person.
Of course you should know that there is room for self-development and letting go of some negative habits or traits but that is not to say you should drop your personality all in the bid to become like another person. You see it’s wonderful to have a mentor, like a mentor and even love the characters of a mentor but it is disastrous to end up becoming like the mentor. This is true because you would have only succeeded in becoming a photocopy of an already existing original when you are an original yourself. Why struggle to become a fake?
The character you are celebrating today only became a celebrity because he or she decided to remove the negatives in their lives and develop the positives within them so why not check within you and remove the negativities in you as well as develop the positives that are inherent in you. It will amaze you that the person you are struggling to become like also has some weaknesses that you do not know of at such it’s advisable that you quit trying to become another person as your world is longing for your manifestation. You are a solution to your world if you do not know.
As matter of concern, if there is anybody that you are permitted to copy and emulate it is Jesus. This is because he is the only perfect example. It’s high time you quit trying to be a photocopy as you are best as you. Don’t let that talent of yours die under the shadow of another man’s potentials you are best as you.
